Town Struggle, Q1/Q2 2023

Hello and Welcome

Following the noteworthy entries on the Ultima Online Outlands Power Rankings in Fall 2021, the community has been abuzz with anticipation for an updated power ranking list:

And now, the long-awaited moment has finally come.

Background

Avadon is a realm characterized by battles and contests for dominance. It is vital for its inhabitants to understand who exhibits superior prowess in warfare compared to their opponents. Through these power rankings, this aims to communicate a perception of who reigns supreme, grounded in many encounters and conjectures, thereby enhancing the knowledge of others. Acknowledging the subjective element inherent in these rankings, I (Ansem, the best UO player ever) have deliberately omitted myself and intend to persist with this approach for the duration of this list’s existence.

Thus

On the significant date of July 18th, 2023, a distinguished council of seven esteemed individuals convened in the aftermath of the 11pm EST Town Struggle. Our mission was of utmost importance: to deliberate and determine the 2023 UO Outlands Town Struggle Power Rankings:

In attendance:

  1. $Elven$ – Representing [brg]
  2. Audemars Piguet – Representing [RDY]
  3. Ansem – Representing [Bane]
  4. El Chapo – Representing [A]
  5. Klang Lord Doobson – Representing [EVIL]
  6. Nachos – [???]
  7. Piers, Roy, and Wolf, Representing [IRON]

For an hour and a half, the council deliberated

Rest assured, each contender for the Power Rankings was given meticulous and comprehensive consideration. The council recognized the dedication, skill, and strategy that each player brings to each event. Our evaluation process was thorough, ensuring that every participant’s performance, potential, and contribution to the game were fairly and fully assessed. This wasn’t a cursory glance at the leaderboard, but rather, a deep dive into the talents and capabilities that make each town struggle so vibrant and competitive.

The conclusion we reached held significant weight: the council decided to delineate a list of the top five performers in both shooters and callers for the Ultima Online Outlands Town Struggle of 2023’s first and second quarters.

These decisions were of great importance, affecting the future landscape of the outlands community.

Without Further Ado:

Esteemed wizards and friends, I have the privilege to unveil to you, the distinguished Top 5 Outlands Town Struggle Shooters and Callers for Q1 and Q2 of 2023. These individuals embody the pinnacle of skill and prowess in their respective fields during the initial half of 2023 in Town Struggle:

Shooters:

  1. Bogwang
  2. Kitty Meow Meow
  3. Jeff Amazon
  4. P’
  5. Cerys The Gray

Honorable Mention: Joseph D’bow

Callers:

  1. Elven
  2. Kamikaze
  3. King Laric IV
  4. H O M I C I D E
  5. Emo Trans

Honorable Mention: Morgy

Rationale

Shooters:

  1. Bogwang – Undisputed #1. This guy wrote the literal UO Art Of War. Nothing else to say here. Koreans are built different.
  2. Kitty Meow Meow – Yoink takes an impressive #2 slot in shooters rising far above his previous honorable mention despite never ever talking in voice.
  3. Jeff Amazon – Also not a voice chatter but a solid shooter nonetheless. Jeff commands the #3 slot with force.
  4. P’ – Another non voicer, another good shooter. Who is better than P’ to take the #4 slot? No one.
  5. Cerys The Gray – beat Joseph D’bow out purely based on stats. Good job Cerys.

Honorable Mention: Joseph D’bow – As mentioned above, both names were submitted but stats were the deciding factor. Keep grinding Joseph.

Callers:

  1. Elven – His methods may be strange, but in a Town Struggle, they cannot be denied. You will 2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1nope-nope your to victory if Elven is your caller in town struggle.
  2. Kamikaze – A hard contender for #1 considering his general calling skills, however, bumped to #2 for the fact that he will quit on the team if enraged.
  3. King Laric IV – In general, Chapo brings a morale boost +10 to all teams he is a part of, and you will likely also have fun, win lose or draw.
  4. H O M I C I D E – He’s a good caller in TS, and who else can contend for the 4th slot here?
  5. Emo Trans – Much like Laric, an instant morale boost to the team which is very important for town struggle.

Honorable Mention: Morgy – could easily be in the top 5 but is restricted by her tendency to only call as a backup caller. However, strong points awarded for telling anyone and everyone to shut the fuck up when they’re being a dipshit.

Healers:

The council unanimously agreed that healers should get no consideration in power rankings. Drop your greater heal and start ebolting people.

In conclusion

The process, steeped in thorough analysis and acknowledgement of each participant’s dedication, skill, and strategic brilliance, culminated in an authoritative listing of the top five performers in the categories of shooters and callers. This consequential decision holds the potential to influence the dynamics of the UO Outlands community significantly.

The top 5 Outlands Town Struggle Shooters and Callers of Q1 and Q2 2023 are a testament to the utmost skill and prowess, representing the epitome of their respective fields. These individuals, gracing the ranking, have shaped the narrative of Town Struggle in the first half of 2023.

As for the rationale behind these decisions, the selection is rooted in careful consideration of every facet of the participant’s performance. The selected shooters and callers each bring unique strengths and strategies to the table, and it is these intricacies that have warranted their standing in these rankings. Whether it is Bogwang’s undisputed dominance, Kitty Meow Meow’s impressive ascent, El Chapo’s morale-boosting presence, or Morgy’s knack for maintaining order amidst chaos, each participant has made significant contributions to the vibrant, competitive landscape of the Ultima Online Outlands.

So, as we stride forward in the realm of Avadon, let’s carry the lessons, triumphs, and challenges of Q1/Q2 2023 in our hearts. For they are the echoes of our journey and the beacon for our path ahead.
